MIAMI (AP) - Reds shortstop Alex Gonzalez left Monday's game at Florida in the 11th inning with a strained left oblique and will be evaluated in Cincinnati on Tuesday.
Gonzalez said he hurt himself batting in the ninth inning, when he lined out. He went 0-for-4, dropping his average to .176.Gonzalez was replaced by Paul Janish, whose throwing error in the 14th inning gave the Marlins a 3-2 win.
