--OF Chris Dickerson was recalled Tuesday to take the roster spot of traded OF Adam Dunn. Dickerson hit .287 in 97 games for Class AAA Louisville with 11 homers and 53 RBIs. He was in Tuesday's lineup, batting leadoff, and walked in his first major league appearance. Dickerson later doubled for his first major league hit.
--RHP Josh Fogg (2-4, 7.98 ERA) makes his first appearance of the year against the Pirates on Tuesday in PNC Park. He has a 1-1 career record against the Pirates in three starts for the Rockies. --2B Brandon Phillips leads National League second basemen in fielding percentage (.991) with five errors in 579 chances after last season leading all NL second basemen in fielding percentage, total chances, putouts and assists.
--RHP David Weathers is one of nine Reds players eligible for free agency after the season (Weathers, LHP Jeremy Affeldt, C Paul Bako, RHP Josh Fogg, IF/OF Jerry Hairston Jr., RHP Mike Lincoln, LHP Kent Mercker, OF Corey Patterson, C Javier Valentin).
