--INF/OF Jolbert Cabrera refused an outright assignment to Class AAA Louisville and became a free agent. Cabrera, 35, played 48 games for the Reds and hit .252.
--LHP Adam Pettyjohn, a feel-good story this season when he returned to the majors at age 31 after a seven-year absence, was outrighted to Class AAA Louisville. He went 0-1 and allowed nine runs in four innings for the Reds. --RHP Jon Adkins, who had a big season for Class AAA Louisville before getting a September call-up to Cincinnati, was outrighted back to Louisville. Adkins, who had 30 saves in Class AAA this year, went 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA in four appearances for the Reds.
--RHP David Weathers, who plans to test the free agent market this winter, appeared in 72 games, the 10th consecutive season of appearing in 63 or more games. He has made at least 70 appearances six times in his career.
--1B Joey Votto (24) and RF Jay Bruce (21) combined to hit 45 homers, the most by two rookies on one team in the majors this year.
--RHP Aaron Harang and RHP Bronson Arroyo had the team's only two complete games, tying the club record for least complete games (2). It was the fourth time the team has had only two complete games.
--LHP Jeremy Affeldt led the team with 74 relief appearances, tying his career high set last year. He finished the season without giving up an earned run in his last seven appearances. He is a free agent whom the Reds probably will try to re-sign.
--C/INF/OF Wilkin Castillo started fast after his September call-up from Class AAA Louisville and soon had two consecutive three-hit games, but he finished the season in a 1-for-19 slump.
