--C Paul Bako is hitting only .210 this season, but he has hit .313 over his last six starts and has caught five of the team's six shutouts this season.
--OF/INF Jerry Hairston, on the disabled list three times this year, has hit .282 with two homers and eight RBIs in 13 games since coming off his latest DL stint.
