--RHP Josh Roenicke made his major league debut Saturday, walking the first batter on four pitches, then hitting the next batter with his sixth pitch to force in the tying run before recording a strikeout to end the inning.
--S Danny Richar and 2B Wilkin Castillo were the team's double-play combination Saturday for the first time, and between them they had one play the entire nine innings, a groundball to Richar, which he threw to Castillo for a force play at second, "One play with your second baseman and shortstop, how rare is that?" said manager Dusty Baker. --RHP Micah Owings didn't make his debut with the Reds as a pitcher, he made it as a pinch hitter Saturday in the 10th inning and beat his old team, the Diamondbacks, with a game-winning double.
--RF Jay Bruce's home run Sunday against the Diamondbacks was his 18th, but he also hit 10 early in the season at Class AAA Louisville, giving him 28 on the season.
--C/PH Javier Valentin singled in two of his last three pinch-hitting assignments and leads the team this year with 11 pinch-hits.
