--RHP Edinson Volquez goes for his 17th victory Monday in Milwaukee in his pursuit to become the team's first 20-game winner since LHP Danny Jackson (23-5) in 1988. Volquez is 8-2 for his career at home, but only 9-9 on the road. --OF Jolbert Cabrera hit a grand slam Saturday against the Cubs, his first, and it came in a losing cause. Sunday he stroked a walk-off single in the ninth, his second walk-off single against opposing manager Lou Piniella. The other came Aug. 5, 2001, when he was with the Indians and they came from 12-0 behind to win 15-14 on Cabrera's single against Piniella's Mariners.
--RHP Aaron Harang (4-15) received no decision after producing a quality start Sunday against the Cubs, giving up three runs and six hits over seven innings. The last two runs were scored by batters he hit back-to-back in the seventh inning, his first hit batsmen this season.
--RF Jay Bruce was 1-for-2 Sunday and has reached base in 11 consecutive games, batting .316 (12-for-38) in the process.
