Bailey said a bullpen session with pitching coach Dick Pole the day he was sent back to Louisville corrected the loose ends.
"I've thrown a lot better since I went back," he said. "I've cut down on walks and I've had more strikeouts. I'm feeling a lot better about the way I'm throwing.
"Before I went down I worked on a few things with Pole and that has a lot to do with it," he said. "My off-speed pitches have been better, too. Dick and I worked on my balance and if you're in balance, I guess everything gets a little better."
REDS 6, BREWERS 5: RHP Josh Fogg gave up only one hit, a first-inning home run, but left the game after 5 1/3 innings Friday when he hit a batter and walked one. Both runners scored, so he was charged with three runs and when the Brewers came back to tie it, he didn't get the win. The Reds took advantage of three Brewers' errors, scored a run without a hit in one inning, scored the tying run when a ball was lost in the lights and scored the winning run on a wild pitch.
