Because of right-hander Johnny Cueto's troublesome start Tuesday -- 1 2/3 innings, seven runs (six earned) and eight hits -- manager Dusty Baker and pitching coach Dick Pole have revamped the revamped rotation.

Originally, the rotation for the three-game series in Atlanta that begins Friday was to be Edinson Volquez, Matt Belisle and Cueto. Bronson Arroyo was pushed back until Tuesday, giving him seven days of rest.

Arroyo now pitches Sunday in Atlanta on five days of rest, and Cueto is pushed back to Tuesday -- six days of rest.

"Based on his last couple of starts, this gives Cueto a little more time to collect his thoughts and to give him a couple of bullpen sessions instead of just one," Baker said.

In addition, Baker has put in a call for roving pitching instructor Mario Soto to visit Cueto, "because Soto practically raised him as a pitcher and taught him his changeup," Baker said.

CARDINALS 5, REDS 2: For the sixth time in his seven starts, right-hander Aaron Harang produced a quality start (six or more innings, three or fewer earned runs), but his record is 1-4 with a 2.98 ERA. The team has scored 22 runs in his seventh starts, 3.1 runs per game. The team has won two more of his starts, but he did not get credit for those victories.
